This policy explains what personal information Menuline ("Menuline," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers menuline.ai, the Menuline dashboard, our free tools, and restaurant websites, apps, and ordering pages powered by Menuline (the "Services").
Restaurants and Menuline
Restaurants use Menuline to run their websites and take online orders. When you order from a restaurant, that restaurant receives your order details and decides how to use them, for example to prepare your order, contact you about it, or send you marketing you opted into. We process that information on the restaurant's behalf. Questions about a specific restaurant's practices should go to that restaurant.
What we collect
- Account details: name, email, phone number, restaurant name and address, and team roles for restaurant accounts.
- Restaurant content: menus, prices, photos, hours, locations, and branding.
- Order details: name, email, phone number, delivery address, items ordered, instructions, and tips.
- Payment details: card information is collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers. We receive limited details such as the card brand, the last four digits, and payment status.
- Payout details: for restaurants, the bank account and business information Stripe needs to send payouts.
- What you enter in our free tools and grader, such as a restaurant name, website, or location, plus your email if you ask us to send results.
- Usage data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, and which links in a restaurant's marketing email you clicked, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
- To run the Services: publish restaurant websites and menus, take and route orders, process payments, and send order confirmations and receipts.
- To collect order payments on the restaurant's behalf and pay the restaurant its share (see our Terms).
- To provide support, send account and billing notices, and keep the Services secure and free of fraud.
- To send Menuline product news to restaurant accounts and visitors who haven't opted out. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To run AI features, such as the grader and free AI tools, which send the content you provide to AI model providers to generate results.
- To understand how the Services are used and improve them.
We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
- The restaurant you order from, so it can fulfill your order.
- Service providers that help us run the Services, under contracts that limit how they use the data. These include Stripe (payments and payouts), Google Cloud and Firebase (hosting and data storage), Vercel (hosting), Mailgun (email), AI model providers such as Google Gemini and OpenAI, and Google Analytics and DataFast (site analytics).
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users, restaurants, or Menuline.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to this policy.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, secure the Services, measure traffic, and credit an order to the marketing email that led to it. You can block cookies in your browser settings, but sign-in and checkout may stop working.
Your choices
- Restaurants can update their account and business information in the dashboard.
- You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
- You can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information by emailing hello@menuline.ai with "Privacy request" in the subject. Depending on where you live, such as California, the EU, or the UK, you may have additional rights, and we will honor them as the law requires. If your request concerns order data a restaurant controls, we will forward it to that restaurant.
How long we keep it
We keep information while an account is active and as long as needed to provide the Services. We keep order and payment records for as long as tax, accounting, and legal rules require.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and a PCI-compliant payment processor to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.
Children
The Services are not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy in a material way, we will update the date above and notify restaurant accounts by email or in the dashboard.
